The Crossroads has taken me the best part of twenty years to write. It is now finished, but is currently going through a seemingly never-ending editing process. At the moment, I'm looking for readers who are willing to give it a go and share their honest thoughts. If you're a writer as well, I'd be happy to return the favour.
As a story, I guess it could be described as what would happen if Monty Python and John Wyndham wrote an episde of Black Mirror. It's got bits of sci-fi, dystopian fiction, satire, melodrama; it's a little dark in places but I've got a sense of the ridiculous and I think that comes through.
In short: it's a story about a normal guy who meets the Devil and is sent on a mission to change the world. I mean: what's the worst that could happen?
The book has been split into two parts - each is about 65,000 words long. The first part is FREE and available below, the second part is available on request.
None of it was written by AI, though I've used it recently to help with this website, discuss structural questions and proofread. The ideas, characters, and world are all mine, and have been for a very long time!
